Social Learning Groups are now available at Let’s Communicate!
These fun and exciting groups of up to four children will use cognitive behavioral strategies to teach social communication.
Group Members:
Groups are geared towards those students ages four to adult, who have average-to-above-average cognitive abilities and have been diagnosed with social cognitive deficits resulting from ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, NVLD, PDD-NOS, HFA, and other related disorders.
Group Facts:
- Groups meet one hour per week
- Parent networking and summary is an important part of each group process

- Flexible vs. rigid thinking
- Being a part of a group
- Monitoring behavior (expected vs. unexpected)
- Problem-solving (size and severity of a problem)
- Reading nonverbal and verbal (inferential) language
